Intensive In Home Care
Intensive In-Home services are time limited (usually 5-6 months) intensive family preservation intervention, intended to stabilize the living environment, promote reunification of the family or prevent out of home placement of children and adolescents.
This intervention is primarily delivered to children in their family home and community settings, focusing on:
- Diffusing any current crisis and intervening to reduce the likelihood of reoccurring conflicts
- Ensuring connections to needed community resources and services
- Providing self-help and living skills training for youth
- Providing parenting skills training and support to help the family build skills for coping
- with the youth's disorders and for healthy interactions in the home
- Monitoring and managing psychiatric symptoms
This service utilizes a team approach designed to address identified needs of children and adolescents who are transitioning from out-of-home placement (or are at risk of out of home placement) and need interventions to remain stable in the community. Teams are headed by licensed clinicians and highly trained service providers.
Consumers have access to interventions via crisis response 24 hours a day and 7 days per week by our on-call staff.
